Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance (CTYA) and Canadian Tamil Sports Association (CTSA) has partnered up once again to host the most awaited
tournament of the year. Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance is the largest combination of youth associations and groups nationwide with Tamil
heritage, culture and language backgrounds. CTYA member groups include youth from different sectors such as Education/Career,
Arts/Culture, Athletics, TamilNation Development, and Human Rights Advocacy. Canadian Tamil Sports Association strives to develop and grow
Tamil athletes of all ages, genders and abilities. For nearly 35 years, CTSA has been organizing many sport programs and competitions in
various sports, including Cricket for the Canadian Tamil community CTYA and CTSA are proud to announce that the 2023 Tamil Eelam
Challenge Cup – Cricket tournament will be returning this summer on Sunday August 6th- Monday August 7th. As per tradition, the Tamil
Eelam Challenge Cup – Cricket will take place on the rst weekend in August within the Greater Toronto Area. Further details about the
tournament and registration will be sent to you by our tournament committee.
TECC – Cricket was rst established in 2009 and has come a very long way over the years within the Canadian Tamil community.We would like
to thank and express our appreciation to our community partners; athletic partners; tournament participants and supporters. The community
support we receive during this time of the year is what truly motivates us to bring you, a successful competition. Further to your support; we kindly
request all Cricket associated leagues, clubs and teams to refrain from hosting any matches or tournaments on these dates
to prevent any overlapping in events, and to ensure that all players and teams within Canada will have the opportunity to participate in the Tamil
Eelam Challenge Cup – Cricket.
CTYA and CTSA’s mission behind TECC- Cricket is to unite all Cricket players within the Canadian Tamil Community and provide them a
competitive platform to showcase their talents and abilities.
